It is now December 2015 and I haven't blogged all year! This year has been an "over the hill and through the woods" type of year. Am I Little Red Riding-hood in this scenario?? I have my cape to be super daughter as well.
After adjusting to my life shift, I had to immediately hit the ground running as a caretaker for my mum. It was my belief that we would grab our Amtrak tickets and travel the nation...NOT....illness kicked in and my mum wasn't mentally in the mood to travel. What a rain pour! I was ready to scream "I can't do this now!" My dad was a handful even though homemakers, nurses, physical therapist were revolving in and out of our home. On the account of his brain tumor, he still had an urge to drive, preach and go on his merry way. His weakness on the left side of his body told him the contrary. He would wake up in the middle of the night, sneak out of the bed and roam around the house. He was a fall risk and fell several times. I am totally grateful for our local fire dept. They were on call weekly. I was finally able to thank the local fire house this year! So, take your firemen/paramedics some bagels and coffee! They deserve it as public servants!
Welp, I'm in my 3 year of graduate school and my hands are full! I'm enjoying the enrichment of it all!
