All in a days work!

Good Afternoon Blog,

Finally a moment to blog! I tweet every now and then and post a few quotes photos on facebook. However, having the time to blog requires a little more thought. Well this am I was up throwing in a load of laundry, tossing biscuits in the oven, bathing and dressing my 77 year old father. Whew! I have yet to read 24 chapters in the Book of Joshua for my Old Testament class at Moody Bible Institute. Then prepare for lunch and dinner. I am grateful for these tasks! Who wouldn't want to take care of their parents? It is work and a moral sacrifice. However, I'm able to take 2 courses to serve as a spiritual outlet from my daily care-taking rituals.

I've been able to cook. For Sunday dinner I prepared beef oxtails (stewed in crockpot), rice and string (green) beans.

On Saturday, my parents and I attended an 80th birthday party given for our neighbor. What a blast! My parents really enjoyed themselves. It beats sitting in the house waiting for metimucil to kick in. lol. My folks were active adults up until that no good cancer and its treatments kicked in. We are survivors who love and trust the Lord for healing and mercy!

I have been busy working as a caregiver for my aging father that I have been only able to dream about travel!
Watching the Travel channel allows my mind to channel the many beauties of the globe.
Recently, a friend text me stating that she is considering a trip to Jamaica this November. I'm tempted to hire an over nite health care aide to care for my father as I hang on the beach! How selfish huh? Caregivers need a break to right? But, I know I would worry about him and would not totally enjoy my trip. Hmmmmmm.

We are praying for Israel, the Nigerian school girls, families of the Malaysian flight and people all over the world. God will step in if the people would cry out to our Heavenly Father and repent.

I am a believer and is not ashamed. I want people to experience the love of travel and of Christ! It's God's Earth! Why not love the Creator?

So many are beginning to utilize their passports and take cruises and resort vacations. An old African proverb states that "If you don't go, you don't know!"
