A re-post from the Senegal tourism website.....A former French colony, Senegal has a rich history and a vibrant modern culture. It is one of the most stable states in West Africa, politically pluralistic and ethnically diverse; the population (13 million) is overwhelmingly Muslim yet it does not seem religiously oppressive.
Everywhere you go, the people are hospitable and open, not yet jaded by mass tourism.

Brainstorming with like minds create such a positive impact on ideas. As we poke and ponder on ways to impact Africa, I will work non-stop to raise awareness and market this project. Senegal, West Africa may be a target location to venture. I'm thinking possibly a 9 day trip, loaded with cultural activities, as well as a little R & R. Now, how can I market this as a productive project versus the trade of a travel agent?

We were initially considering non-profit for Global Horizon but decided that this trekking idea has to hit the ground running immediately! We are excited and look forward to the next level of traveling. Our aim will be to energize the sociological spirit as well as the psychological.

Africa is the heart of the continents. Human history began in the Motherland. This continent set the stage for rulers and kingdoms to thrive. This organization believes that visiting the continent of Africa will enrich, engage, and cultivate people from all walks of life. One way to alleviate the concept of ungratefulness is to see how folks hunger for work, education, food and healthcare abroad.

It is the mission of Operation Impact to send students as well as families nationwide to experience Africa!
I had the opportunity to venture Ghana, West Africa and it was indeed a heartfelt experience.
We are seeking ideas, marketing tips, and clients who would enjoy and appreciate this trip abroad.
